Meet Chef Antonio
Antonio Sipac Santos first discovered his passion for cooking through a culinary program run by Amigos de Santa Cruz in 2014. He sharpened his skills by cooking for diverse groups, teaching himself through cookbooks and hands-on experimentation to create nourishing vegetarian meals. In Guatemala, where meat-centered cooking dominates, Antonio’s mastery of plant-based cuisine is truly rare.
Antonio has developed dishes rooted in Guatemalan tradition and elevated by his own creativity. Over the years, he has refined his craft to include exceptional vegan and gluten-free options.
In 2021, Antonio made the leap from employee to owner, taking full charge of the restaurant he helped build. He leads his kitchen team with warmth and humor. For Antonio, cooking is not simply a job. It is, as he puts it, “a new beginning every day — the kitchen is infinite. You can always find a new flavor.” Come taste what he’s discovered.
