Volcano Bliss: Yoga, Pilates, and Heartfelt Adventures in Guatemala

  • The Bambu Guest House at Beautiful Lake Atitlan, Guatemala Calle Tzan Puente Tzununa Guatemala (map)

It’s not just a yoga retreat; it’s two journeys in one, a spiritual quest:

Lake Atitlán, a natural treasure of volcanic origin, surrounded by three majestic volcanoes—San Pedro, Tolimán, and Atitlán. It’s a mirror reflecting the sky, a window to the soul. Villages like San Juan, San Marcos, and Santiago embody the spirituality of the Maya people, an ancestral culture still resonating in harmony with nature.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in three daily sessions of yoga, Pilates, or Essentrics, along with delving into a profound exploration through working with medicinal plants. Choose to explore the beautiful lake and connect with the Maya people—a heart-opening experience in harmony with nature.

The final 3 days in Antigua, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offer a journey through time, a meeting with the past, and a theatrical beauty experience.

In Antigua, choose to climb to the summit of the Acatenango volcano, a symbolic act of resilience, to witness the constant eruption of El Fuego—a reminder of our humility in the face of nature. Alternatively, walk in harmony with the Pacaya volcano, a meditative hike, an inner journey.

This journey isn’t just about exploring places; it’s an exploration of self, an invitation to connect with the beauty of nature and the wisdom of ancient civilizations—a chance for spiritual and personal growth. Return home serene, peaceful, and transformed by this spiritual adventure in Guatemala.

Aude has a unique life journey and embraces change whenever the opportunity arises. Originally from France, she moved to Montreal at 20. Initially, she was studying psychosociology but secretly yearning to dance. Taking a leap, she joined the UQAM dance program and was fortunate to end up touring across Europe for a decade. Shifting gears, she explored special education for 5 years but found it wasn’t her fit. Since 2008, teaching Pilates has remained her main occupation, offering a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Her expertise led to collaborations with Châtelaine magazine and Matv, where she created the fitness show “Pause Tonique.” Currently, she’s launching her own training platform on Teachable—a journey worth following!
